Welcome

David Whitmer
David Whitmer

Continually identified by the LDS and RLDS Churches as an “excommunicated apostate,” David Whitmer was neither. Whitmer College corrects these and other long-held falsehoods.

At Whitmer College, when it comes to the gospel of our Lord, we believe that Two Witnesses (Book of Mormon & Bible) are better than one:

This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. (2 Corinthians 13:1)

We testify that when used together, the Bible and the Book of Mormon confound false doctrines. (Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, p.63)

David Whitmer (for whom this site is named), was a special witness for the Holy Book of Mormon and a follower of Jesus Christ, having obtained his testimony from a visitation, and a life of experience and study of the Bible and Book of Mormon. It was the Book of Mormon that showed David the errors of Joe’s church and his many post-Book of Mormon revelations.

Under the menu heading Anti-Mormon are the items in Joseph’s church that David found to be inconsistent with the gospel of the Bible and Book of Mormon. Under the headings, Interviews and Published are many of David’s testimonies. Other important items can be found under Topics.

David Was Right

David was right when he said:

  • The Book of Commandments was printed in full.
  • Joseph changed revelations.
  • Palmyra is ancient Cumorah.
  • There were two record depositories.
  • Both were in Palmyra.

These items and more are found under the Topics menu.
